The construction of Clock Tower or Ghanta Ghar is going on in full swing in Anantnag district of South Kashmir. It is being constructed under devolutionary grants with an estimated cost of Rs 40 lakhs. The purpose is to make this tower attractive for tourists visiting Kashmir Valley. The clock tower will be 30 feet tall and square in shape with width of 7.5 feet. The rotary below the tower will be made in Devri stone with a diameter of 15 feet.
