Houseboat owners are gearing up to welcome tourists. The tourism sector in the Valley got adversely affected due to COVID-19 last year hence, houseboat owners are hoping for a good business in this Winter Season. Tourists prefer to stay in houseboats as these are one of the major attractions of the Valley. Houseboat is a cabin of rooms built on a flat-bottomed scow on water and usually with a platform or porch at either end. These houseboats are stationed in Dal Lake, Nigeen Lake and Jhelum River.
