Judo, a popular martial arts game gained popularity among the youth in Kashmir. For two years as the pandemic hit the valley, the youth did not get a proper chance to show their caliber towards the game. To boost the enthusiasm of youth in games, the J-K Judo Association, The Directorate of Youth Services and Sports has organised different championships and tournaments at Multipurpose Indoor Sports Hall Polo Ground, Srinagar keeping all precaution measures of COVID-19. All the matches are conducted under the supervision of professional coaches and trainers of the Directorate of Youth Services and Sports. Players of all age groups have participated, showed great zeal for games. They appreciated and demanded more such initiatives in the valley.
