Mahesh Babu pens an emotional note mourning the demise of his elder brother Ramesh Babu – Times of India

Tollywood actor-producer Ramesh Babu passed away at the age of 56 on Saturday. Mourning the untimely demise of his elder brother, Mahesh Babu penned an emotional note on social media. Sharing a throwback picture of his brother, Mahesh Babu wrote, “You have been my inspiration, you have been my strength, you have been my courage, you have been my everything. If not for you, I would not have been half of the man I am today. Thank you for everything you’ve done for me. Now just rest… rest… In this life and if at all I have another, you’ll always be my ‘Annaya’. Love you forever and ever and ever.”

Ramesh Babu suffered a cardiac arrest on Saturday night. His last rites were held today at Mahaprasthanam. Several family members rushed to Padmayala Studios to pay their last respects to Ramesh Babu. However, Mahesh Babu couldn’t attend the last rites as he is in quarantine, after he home returned from a vacation in Dubai with family. His spokesperson had confirmed the same on social media, “Mahesh Babu is under quarantine due to Covid-19 and is unable to attend.”

Offering condolences to the family, Rakul Preet Singh had shared on Twitter, “Extremely shocked by the sudden demise of #rameshbabugaru ! Strength to the entire family in such a difficult time ! May his soul RIP 🙏🏻 #gonetoosoon @urstrulyMahesh.” Chiranjeevi had shared, “Shocked and deeply saddened by the demise of Shri.G.Ramesh babu. My heartfelt condolences to Shri.Krishna garu , @urstrulyMahesh and all the family members. May the Almighty give strength to the family to cope with the tragic loss.”
