Mandira Bedi opens up months after husband Raj Kaushal’s death, says she derives strength from her two children | Hindi Movie News – Bollywood – Times of India

After losing her husband, filmmaker Raj Kaushal unexpectedly earlier this year, Mandira Bedi continues to derive strength from her two children – Vir and Tara. Raj Kaushal passed away on 30 June 2021 due to a cardiac arrest. In a recent interview with a news agency, the actress-TV host opened up about her personal loss and how she managed to cope with such a massive loss. She was quoted as saying: ‘My motivation to keep working, striving and doing better… My greatest motivation is my children. Everything I do, I do for them. They are my reason to carry on, my reason to live, to do better, to be better. They are the reason that I have courage, strength, the reason for me to earn. I need to be a good parent for them.’ Mandira Bedi has done numerous films in her career, but she found fame and popularity on the small screen with hit shows like ‘Shanti’ and ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.’ She also did tremendously well as a sports presenter and TV host. Bedi admits her career has been full of ups and downs but she doesn’t regret the failures as they only taught her valuable life lessons. She continued, ‘There have been many challenges, the downs have been challenging, there have been difficult times. But the public memory is short. You are known by the last project you have done. I have had a lot of work behind me. The ups are wonderful, when you are experiencing them they are great. When you are down, they make you appreciate the good times. You learn more from your failures than you do from success. The downs give you perspective in life, that’s the way I look at challenges. I have had a lot that I have faced in my life and there is always growth and learning from them.’ Bedi, who has resumed work after taking some time off, believes she is in the best phase of her professional life. She added, ‘I am blessed to be around at a time like this, there is social media, OTT platforms…I feel grateful that the best work that is coming my way, is coming now.’
