Manisha Koirala opens up about the intimate scene with Shekhar Suman in ‘Heeramandi’: ‘I was not fully aware about…’ | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Manisha Koirala, presently starring in Sanjay Leela Bhansali‘s ‘Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar,’ shared insights into her collaboration with the acclaimed filmmaker. Koirala revealed that she received Bhansali’s call while tending to her garden in Nepal. The actress addressed questions about her onscreen intimate scene alongside Shekhar Suman. In addition to commending Bhansali for his directorial skills, she also lauded Salman Khan for the consistent philanthropic efforts and supportive nature he carries towards people.
In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Manisha said that it was a dream come true moment for her when SLB called and informed her about the role. He asked her to read the script, and the actress was in her garden in Nepal.
Manisha also revealed that she was not completely aware of the intimate scene with Shekhar. Shekhar’s character went to Manisha’s Mallikajaan and was too drunk to understand where she was seated. Shekhar explained that Bhansali had conceived the Nawab’s action of turning around for a mid-air act, thinking that Mallikajaan was seated on that side. Manisha believes that Sanjay does everything in order to bring new elements into action.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali on the success Heeramandi: It’s a piece that somehow brings us all together

Earlier, Shekhar revealed that Bhansali improvised the scene at the last minute and even mentioned that if he finds it too bizarre, he can say no to that. Somebody having an intimate scene on mid-air was new that has never been done by anyone.
Manisha also talked about Salman. His charitable trust helps the poor and those in need. He has helped many cancer patients, and doctors say not to mention my name when help is being given from him.
‘Heeramandi’ is available on OTT from May 1; it also features Sonakshi Sinha and Aditi Rao Hydari in main roles.
