Actor Matt Damon, who featured in a cameo in ‘Thor: Ragnarok’, has given rise to speculation that he too has joined the ensemble cast after he shared his excitement about filming in Australia. The actor said in his latest interview that he, wife Luciana, and their daughters Isabella, Gia and Stella have moved to Australia for a few months.
In an interview with The Daily Mail, Matt shared, “I’m so excited that my family and I will be able to call Australia home for the next few months.”
He also went on to gush about how the Australian film crews are “world-renowned” for their professionalism and said that they are a “joy to work with”.
His move down under comes amid reports that he has joined the cast of the fourth instalment of the ‘Thor’ franchise. Damon last played the role of an Asgardian actor and made a cameo in a comical play in the film.
‘Thor 4’ will see actors Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman reprise their roles as the God of Thunder and Jane Foster, respectively. The two stars have been filming in Australia for the past months.
Also joining the cast is ‘The Dark Knight’ actor, Christian Bale, who will play the villain Gorr The God Butcher. As his character’s name suggests, rumours are rife that Bale’s role will not be a one-off part, but he may just go on to play the supervillain who will pose as an even bigger threat than Thanos ever could.
‘Thor: Love And Thunder’ is scheduled to be released on May 6, 2022.
