Microsoft upgrading this useful feature on Edge browser – Times of India

Microsoft is reportedly working to upgrade the “find on page” feature on its Edge browser to make searching for information easier. Currently, when you access the feature through the More button, it only tracks a specific word or term that you search for. Now, as per a report by TechRadar, the company is improving the feature and the updated version has been spotted on the latest edition of Edge Canary.
After the update, when you search through the feature, it will track down the term you searched for and it will also show matches related to the searched term. Similar feature can also be spotted in other Microsoft applications such as Notepad and Word. The feature is currently under testing and it is expected that it will be available to more users soon.
Last week, Microsoft also rolled out a new update for its Edge browser. The latest version of the browser is called Edge 96 and the company’s rival Google has also launched Chrome 96 version of its web browser last week. As Microsoft is continuously pushing users to use its Edge web browser on Windows 11 by blocking apps like EdgeDeflector, it has also improved its browser by adding a few new features with the latest update.
On Microsoft Edge you can now easily update your saved passwords that have been compromised. When you go to the password manager in the browser’s setting, you can tap on the Go to button near your saved password. The button will take you to the right page to update your password for that site. As of now, the feature is only available for a few websites but the company says it’s going to expand it soon. The company also added a feature called efficiency mode that can help you boost the battery life of your laptop by reducing the CPU and memory usage for the browser.
