National Film Awards 2021: Sajid Nadiadwala dedicates the award to Sushant Singh Rajput; thanks Nitesh Tiwari for this ‘special movie’ – Times of India

The 67
th National Film Awards ceremony was held today in Delhi. The late actor Sushant Singh Rajput starrer ‘Chhichhore’, directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, won the Best Hindi Film award. The event was attended by Sajid and Nitesh.

Speaking about the same, Sajid Nadiadwala said in a statement, “A Moment of Pride for all of us at NGE today as we’ve received the prestigious National Award for Chhichhore! Thank you Nitesh Tiwari for this special movie! We’re really grateful for all the love & dedicate this award to Sushant Singh Rajput.” The official handle of Sajid’s production house shared a picture of him and Sushant and wrote an emotional note.

During the red carpet, the two fondly spoke about Sushant and dedicated the win to him. “Sushant is an integral part of our film. He made us proud. We are dedicating this award to him,” Tiwari and Nadiadwala said. The film also starred Shraddha Kapoor, Varun Sharma, Tahir Raj Bhasin and others. It went on to do wonders at the box office because of its solid content.

On the work front, Sajid’s production house has a busy lineup ahead. The slate includes ‘Tadap’ starring Ahan Shetty and Tara Sutaria, Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Bachchan Pandey’, ‘83 with Ranveer Singh and ‘Heropanti 2’ with Tiger Shroff.
