India has registered its first victory at the 2020 Olympics as weightlifter Mirabai Chanu clinched a silver medal. She made the nation proud in women’s 49kg category of weightlifting in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. This triumph of Mirabai is being celebrated and lauded by everyone. B-town stars have also taken to their social media handles to appreciate the Olympic medal winner.
Taapsee Pannu took to her social media story and wrote – “Mirabai Chanu! Remember the name! Our first silver this Olympics! Go India!”. She then shared a picture of Mirabai and mentioned – “This name and face! We will celebrate for years to come! @mirabai_chanu”
Kareena Kapoor also shared a picture of the Indian weightlifter and wrote – “Our first medalist is here! You have made India so proud”
