OnePlus 9 series confirmed to launch on March 23 – Times of India

Putting all the rumours to rest, BBK-owned smartphone brand OnePlus has announced the launch date of its upcoming OnePlus 9 smartphone series.
The company in a statement revealed that the global launch of the OnePlus 9 series will take place on March 23 at 10 amET (8.30 pm IST).
The company also confirmed that the OnePlus 9 series will make use of a custom Sony IMX789 sensor and will be “the largest and most advanced main camera sensor ever on a OnePlus device.”
“With 12-bit RAW, it will be up to 64-times more colourful than before,” it added.
Besides announcing the launch date of the OnePlus 9 smartphone series, the company also announced that it is partnering with Hasselblad — a Swedish camera company — to co-develop future smartphone camera systems.
Through this partnership, OnePlus will introduce software improvements including colour tuning and sensor calibration first and then later on introduce more improvements.
The OnePlus 9 series smartphones will come with new Hasselblad Pro Mode. This mode will have a dedicated user interface to give an authentic Hasselblad look and feel.
“Jointly developed by OnePlus and Hasselblad over months of thorough verification and fine-tuning, this new colour solution – Natural Color Calibration with Hasselblad – aims to bring more perceptually accurate and natural-looking colours to photos taken with OnePlus flagship cameras,” said OnePlus in a statement.
