After a tense relationship that lasted over 2 years, India and Pakistan have activated some back channel contacts to ease the tensions. The daily firings on the LoC have stopped following the agreement between the DGMOs of the two countries. Pak army chief General Bajwa has also made some remarks aimed at lowering tensions between the neighbours.
