Photos: Vidya Balan resumes ‘Sherni’ shoot in Madhya Pradesh with a pooja – Times of India

Vidya Balan has resumed the shoot of her next film ‘Sherni’ in a spiritual manner. Pictures of the actress performing a pooja ahead of the film’s shoot went viral on the internet. Snapped in denims, a plain black shirt and a mask, Vidya Balan was seen performing a pooja, reportedly in Madhya Pradesh. ‘Sherni’ went on floors in March this year, but the shoot was halted due to the pandemic.

Vidya had also posted a fun video in her Instagram story, announcing, “Chalo meri #Sherni shooting-shooting khelein”.

Directed by Amit Masurkar, ‘Sherni’ will feature Vidya in the role of a forest office and will be shot in the jungles of Madhya Pradesh. Talking about working with Amit, Vidya had previously told Mumbai Mirror, “I loved Newton and when Amit narrated Sherni to me, I knew I wanted to do this film. The uniqueness of the story and its world appealed to me.” While Amit Masurkar had expressed happiness on working with Vidya Balan, “The story of Sherni is one that needs to be told. I am happy to be working with Vidya Balan, one of the finest actors and human beings in the industry.”
