Realme has started taking in the Android 13 early access program applications. The early access program enables users to test the upcoming version of RealmeUI before anyone else. However, the program is limited to the company’s premium GT 2 Pro. So, starting today, Realme GT 2 Pro users can apply to receive the Android 13 early access.
How to apply for the Android 13 early access program
If you have a GT 2 Pro and want to try out the upcoming version of Realme’s software, you can try out the trial version of the RealmeUI, which will be based on Android 13. However, note that the trial build could contain bugs, so it is highly advisable not to install it on your primary smartphone. One such known bug is the DC dimming issue.
It is also advised to take a complete backup before proceeding with the installation. Some third-party apps might not be compatible with Android 13. Furthermore, you need at least 10GB of free space on your smartphone.
One thing to note is that you cannot register a rooted smartphone for Android 13 early access.
Here’s how to apply for Android 13 early access on GT 2 Pro. First open Settings, then Software Update. Now, tap on the three dots on the top right corner and select Apply Now. Lastly, fill in the required details and submit the form.
You should receive the trial build soon after the company starts rolling out the software to beta testers. If you face any bugs then you always have the option to roll back to Android 12.
