Realme has scheduled an event to launch multiple products which include smartphones, earbuds and others. The launch event is scheduled to begin at 12.30 pm today when the Chinese smartphone maker will unveil several products for the first time in the country. The launch event will be live-streamed on the company’s YouTube channel and the showstopper of this event is going to be the company’s upcoming flagship Realme GT 2 Pro. This smartphone was launched for its domestic market in January and was introduced in Europe in February. Apart from Realme GT 2 Pro, the company is also expected to launch the Realme 9 4G smartphone in India along with the Realme Book Prime, Realme Buds Air 2 and the Realme Smart TV Stick. The laptop and the earbuds that were launched in Europe in February will also make their debut in India at today’s event.
Realme GT 2 Pro and Realme 9 4G expected prices
Realme has not confirmed the India price of any of the products that they will launch today. However, we can expect all the products to be priced the same as the prices at which they were introduced in other markets. In China, Realme GT 2 Pro was launched at a starting price of CNY 3,899 (around Rs 46,500) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage base variant. This smartphone has two other variants — 12GB RAM + 256GB storage option has a price tag of CNY 4,299 (around Rs. 51,300) and the top model with 12GB RAM + 512GB storage is available at CNY 4,799 (roughly Rs. 57,300). The smartphone was also launched in Europe in February at a starting price of EUR 749 (around Rs. 62,000). Earlier reports suggest that the Realme 9 4G will be priced under Rs. 15,000.
Realme GT 2 Pro expected specifications
The Realme GT 2 Pro that was launched in Europe and China features a 6.7-inch 2K LTPO 2.0 AMOLED display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus screen protection. The smartphone comes powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor coupled with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage.
The handset houses a triple rear camera setup that includes a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide shooter and a 2MP macro shooter. The phone also sports a 32MP front shooter for selfies and video calls. Realme GT 2 Pro is expected to pack a 5000mAh battery with 65W SuperDart Charge Enhanced fast charging.
For connectivity, the smartphone will be equipped with 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.2, NFC and a USB Type-C port. The upcoming Realme flagship is likely to run Realme UI 3.0 based on Android 12.
Realme 9 4G expected specifications
Realme 9 4G will be the company’s latest addition to the Realme 9 series. This smartphone is expected to sport a 6.6-inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate.
Realme has confirmed that the Realme 9 4G will come with a 108MP ‘ProLight’ camera and a Samsung ISOCELL HM6 image sensor. The handset will be backed with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB storage and may pack a 5000mAh battery with 33W charging support.
