Sabyasachi reveals Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal didn’t see their wedding outfits till D-Day, says ‘it was beautiful to witness how in sync their visions were’ – Times of India

Lovebirds Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal tied the knot at a royal wedding ceremony held in Rajasthan on December 9 in presence of their family and close friends. While the pictures from the wedding and pre-wedding ceremonies have gone viral on social media, it’s also the wedding outfits that have grabbed attention from everyone.

Designed by no one other than Sabyasachi Mukherjee, the designer recently opened up about working for the star couple’s wedding day. Talking to a magazine, he revealed that the bride and groom only saw each other’s outfits on the wedding day and added that it was beautiful to witness how in sync their visions were although his team worked on their ensembles separately.

Furthermore, calling Kat meticulous and methodical, he asserted that the qualities of the actress made it easy for him to interpret the bride and groom’s vision into his creations.

Sharing details about the D-day of their grand nuptials, Sabyasachi had previously shared, “The bride Katrina Kaif @katrinakaif wears a classic Sabyasachi red bridal lehenga in handwoven matka silk with fine tilla work and meticulously embroidered revival zardozi borders in velvet. In homage to the groom’s Punjabi roots, her veil is custom-trimmed with handmade kiran in hand-beaten silver electroplated in gold. The lehenga is paired with bespoke bridal jewellery of uncut diamonds in 22k gold detailed with hand strung pearls from Sabyasachi Heritage Jewellery @sabyasachijewelry”.

Spilling the beans about the groom’s royal look, he added, “The groom Vicky Kaushal @vickykaushal09 wears an ivory silk sherwani with intricate marori embroidery and iconic Sabyasachi handcrafted gold plated Bengal Tiger buttons, with a silk kurta and churidar. The shawl is a tussar georgette with a zari marori embroidered pallu and borders. The gold Benarasi silk tissue safa is paired with a handcrafted kilangi and statement necklace studded in emeralds, brilliant cut and rose cut diamonds, quartz and tourmalines in 18k gold from Sabyasachi Heritage Jewellery.”

Apart from the wedding day, the couple had also opted for ensembles from the shelves of Sabyasachi for their pre-wedding festivities, including haldi and mehendi ceremony and ETimes was the first time to inform you about it.
