Samsung Galaxy M51 starts receiving Android 12 update – Times of India

Consumer electronics giant Samsung offers smartphones across price segments. Along with this, the company also makes sure that its users experience new software on its devices. Keeping to its promise the South Korean tech giant has now started rolling out the Android 12 update for its two-year-old smartphone — Samsung Galaxy M51.
The Android 12 update for Samsung Galaxy M51 comes with firmware version M515FXXU4DVD1 and the security patch for the month of March. This is the second major OS update for the smartphone as last year it received Android 12 update. Also, this is the last major software update and the smartphone will continue to receive security updates for the next year.
With Android 12 update, the Samsung Galaxy M51 is also getting One UI 4.1 update. With the One UI 4.0, users will get improved stock apps, Material You dynamic colour themes, lock screen widgets, dedicated quick settings toggles for switching off-camera and microphone access and new widget designs. The update is also claimed to enhance the security and privacy of the devices.

Samsung Galaxy M51 comes with a 6.7-inch Infinity O display which is protected with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass on top. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G processor.
The smartphone comes in two variants — 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage and 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. Users can further expand the storage by adding a microSD card.
Samsung Galaxy M51 sports a quad-rear camera setup which comprises a 64MP main sensor with LED flash, 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens, 5MP depth sensor and 5MP macro sensor. The front is home to a 32MP selfie shooter with an f/2.2 aperture.
As mentioned above, the Samsung Galaxy M51 is backed by a 7000mAh battery. The smartphone comes with reverse charging capability and support for 25W fast charging. The company claims that the smartphone can charge completely in less than 2 hours.
