Samsung may launch an affordable foldable smartphone on August 11 – Times of India

Samsung is gearing up for its August 11 Galaxy Unpacked event where it is expected to launch its range of new devices like the Galaxy Watch 4, and Watch 4 Classic smartwatches along with Buds 2 earphones and the foldable smartphones like the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Flip 3. Reports claim that Samsung has got a surprise and it may launch an affordable foldable smartphone in the form of Galaxy Z Flip Lite. There is no official confirmation from Samsung about the same but there have been rumours about an affordable foldable phone from Samsung for quite some time.
As per a report by Korea Herald, Samsung is still working on an affordable foldable phone called the Galaxy Z Flip Lite and chances are Samsung may launch its upcoming event. While Samsung may call this variant as the affordable version, don’t expect it to cost drastically less as it may launch somewhere around $1000 and in India, it would be quite surprising if Samsung sells a foldable phone under Rs 80,000.
Samsung may not be launching any new Android tablet at the upcoming event, however, the company recently launched the Galaxy Tab S7 FE and Galaxy Tab A7 Lite. Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE is available in two models: 4GB and 6GB paired with 64GB and 128GB storage. While the former is priced at Rs 46,999, the latter can be purchased at Rs 50,999. It has three colour variants — Mystic Black, Mystic Silver, Mystic Green and Mystic Pink. On the other hand, The Galaxy Tab A7 Lite has two colour options — Gray and Silver. It is offered in a single 3GB+32GB storage model at Rs 11,999 and Rs 14,999 for the Wi-Fi and LTE versions.
