B K Singh, a senior IPS officer who previously led the team that solved the high-profile murder case of author and activist Gauri Lankesh, is personally overseeing the interrogation of Revanna, the chief of the special investigation team (SIT).
H D Revanna, the son of Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda, was taken into custody by the SIT on Saturday.
Throughout the night, the investigators questioned H D Revanna, and the interrogation continued into Sunday morning. Sources indicate that Revanna consistently denied any involvement in the cases, claiming instead that it was a conspiracy against him and his family.
Sources also revealed that HD Revanna was offered pen and paper to provide his responses but declined, maintaining his assertion of innocence in connection to the cases.
