Several students shared videos of getting help from Sonu’s charity organisation. One student named Harsha said, “We were stuck in Kyiv and it was Sonu Sood sir and his team who helped us to get out. With their help, we are heading to Lviv which is a safer place and from there we will reach India.”
Another student named Charu said, “I am leaving Kyiv. Sonu Sood sir helped us at the right time. In sometime we will reach Lviv and from there we will cross the Poland border by tonight. Thank you so much, they are giving us hope.”

Sonu Sood garnered immense praise for his services during the COVID-19 pandemic. From helping migrant workers and providing oxygen and other medical supplies to bringing back Indian students stranded in Kyrgystan due to the pandemic, the actor was lauded for serving the country in need.
Meanwhile, an Indian national named Naveen Shekharappa Gyanagoudar, a medical student, had lost his life amid Russian shelling on Kharkiv on March 1.
Nearly 17,000 Indian nationals have left Ukraine’s border since the first travel advisory was issued by the Indian Embassy in Kyiv.
