Sushant Singh Rajput case: BMC releases Bihar IPS officer Vinay Tiwari from quarantine – Times of India ►

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) have released Bihar IPS officer Vinay Tiwari from quarantine. According to Times Now, the BMC has stated in a letter that Vinay Tiwari has been released from quarantine but he must leave the city by August 8. This move comes a day after the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) took over the probe of Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case from the Bihar Police.

Earlier, Vinay Tiwari had reportedly said that BMC’s move is unfair and unfortunate, while speaking to Times Now. The IPS officer had reportedly arrived in the city on August 2 and was since then put under quarantine. Sushant Singh Rajput’s death by suicide was being investigated by the Mumbai police since nearly a month. However, after Sushant’s father filed an FIR in Patna, against Rhea Chakraborty and several others, the Bihar police was involved in the probe.

Sushant Singh Rajput passed away at his Mumbai residence, fans and several Bollywood actors have been urging for a CBI probe in the matter.
