Investigations into Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s mysterious death case are daily revealing new angles. Now, after the centre gave its approval for the CBI probe on a recommendation by the Bihar government, Maharashtra told the SC that CBI had no jurisdiction to probe the incident as the state has not given consent for investigation by the central agency. The Mumbai police also said that the Bihar police could only have registered a ‘Zero FIR and send it to Mumbai Police, which is capable of doing a professional investigation into the case.’ Meanwhile, the Maharashtra govt has also maintained that Mumbai Police is competent to handle the probe and alleges it has been made a political issue.
