These Windows 11 users can now customise themes and emojis on their PC – Times of India

Microsoft has started to roll out Windows 11 update for the users who are enrolled in the Dev Channel of the Windows Insider program. The build 22504 comes a day after the company released the new Media Player app that replaces the default Groove Music app in the operating system. With the update, the company is expanding thirteen themes for the touch keyboard to other input experiences, including IMEs, the emoji panel and voice typing.
There is also a theme engine available that allows users to create a fully customised theme including background images. Users can find all this under the new “Text Input” section under Settings > Personalisation. This feature is only available to limited Insider program participants as of now because the company is planning to monitor feedback before pushing it out to everyone.
The tech giant has also added the ability to personalise combinations of emoji based on face and skin tones of family members, couples with heart, kissing, and people holding hands. The Your Phone app also gets a new design with the latest build. The updated design puts notifications at the center. The app also adopts the Windows 11 design language.
Recently, the company also added a feature that allows users to share the content on their screen directly from the taskbar. During a call through a communication platform, users see a button to share the screen when they hover over apps running on the taskbar. Users also see options to stop sharing and to choose another window as well by hovering over the apps on the taskbar. As of now, the feature is only available with Microsoft Teams but other platforms such as Zoom and Slack can also build the functionality into their apps. The feature is only available to a subset of Windows Insider with Microsoft Teams for work or school installed.
