Tesla CEO Elon Musk recently urged people to ‘trash’ him on Wikipedia. Musk has had a ‘weird’ dynamic with his Wikipedia page but his recent tweet on Wikipedia led to another interesting revelation. In one of his replies to a follower’s tweet, Musk revealed the ‘worst person’ he has ever worked with.

One of Musk’s followers posted an image from his Wikipedia page where it was mentioned “early investor” in Tesla. Musk replied, “The “early investor” part of Tesla is wrong. That bs has been pushed by Eberhard (worst person I’ve ever worked with and that’s saying something!) for years.”

The ‘Eberhard’ in Musk’s tweet is Martin Eberhard, co-founder of Tesla, who with Marc Tarpenning started the company in 2003. Musk came onboard as an investor soon after that. While the details of what went wrong between Musk and him remain sketchy, it was a bitter feud. Eberhard was fired as Tesla CEO in 2007 and Musk took over in 2008.

Eberhard then sued Musk for slander and said that his contributions as co-founder of Tesla were minimised. Though the suit was settled — for undisclosed terms — it was agreed by Eberhard that Musk should be considered a co-founder of Tesla.

Eberhard has said in an interview that Tesla is “his baby” and that he is not a huge fan of Elon Musk. “I watch Tesla succeed and it makes me very happy because it is my baby. No matter who my baby married, I am happy to see her succeed.”

Musk, meanwhile, in another recent tweet took a potshot at Eberhard. “Winning “worst person I’ve ever worked with” is not easy. Some real champions are vying for that title!” Clearly, Eberhard, the former CEO of Tesla remains the ‘worst’ person the current CEO of Tesla has ever worked with.
