On the other hand, ‘JugJugg Jeeyo’ which is in its fourth week, maintained a hold on its fourth Friday as well. Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani’s film witnessed a drop of about 50% from the third Friday, mainly because there was no strong competition from new releases. The film collected around Rs 40 lakh nett on its fourth Friday, the report further stated. The total collections of ‘JugJugg Jeeyo’ are around Rs 76 crore nett.
This week’s new releases ‘HIT: The First Case’ and ‘Shabaash Mithu’ registered poor collections on Day 1. While Rajkummar Rao and Sanya Malhotra starrer ‘HIT: The First Case’ collected around Rs 1.15 crore nett, Taapsee Pannu’s ‘Shabaash Mithu’ raked in merely Rs 40 lakh nett. The collection of HIT is lower than ‘Khuda Haafiz’ that released last week and also ‘Rashtra Kavach Om’ that released the week before. ‘Shabaash Mithu’ was yet another cricket biopic after ’83’, and even though the production cost was pretty high for a female orientated film, there seems little hope with such a low start.
