Twitter icons updated with a new design: Here’s how it looks – Times of India

Twitter introduced a new visual design language that added the company’s Chirp font across the app. The company has now unveiled a new design for the icons that are used across the micro-blogging site. A thread of new tweets has recently appeared on the official Twitter design account. These new icons come with a thicker outline and now they don’t have angular shapes. The company added two images in the tweets. One of them compared the old and the icons and the other revealed several new icons.

Twitter new icons: Availability
These new Twitter icons will be available to all users including — web, iOS and Android. In a statement to The Verge, Twitter spokesperson Shaokyi Amdoand has confirmed that these latest icons will reach everyone over the coming days. New Twitter icons have also started to appear for some users.

Twitter explains in the tweet that, “the goal was to create a cohesive set of icons that are bold in shape and style yet still relatable and a little cheeky where possible.”
Meanwhile, Tesla CEO Elon Musk is expected to buy Twitter on October 28 and the company may reportedly lose 5,000 employees post the acquisition. The investors also reportedly know that Twitter is planning to cut jobs, irrespective of the Elon Musk deal. The company also has plans to double its revenue within three years.

Recently, Twitter started testing its Spaces live audio feature on Communities where group members can discuss specific topics on an alternative timeline. Twitter Communities also allows users to deploy admins and moderators.
