Ukraine-returned medical students staged a protest in Bhubaneshwar on July 13, seeking help from government for admission in Indian Medical Universities. These students were rescued by the Indian government under Operation Ganga. India has evacuated over 20,000 of its citizens from war-hit Ukraine under Operation Ganga. While talking to ANI, a student said, ‘All we ask is admissions in Indian universities, government or private. Our future has been jeopardised. We cannot go back to a war-torn country.’
