Before the Supreme Court ordered CBI to take over Sushant Singh Rajput’s case, Mumbai Police was investigating the case. But even after 40-45 days of questioning more than 50 people in connection to Sushant’s death, they didn’t have any major breakthrough. Commenting on the same, now, Union Minister RK Singh, in an interview with Times Now said that Rhea Chakraborty, prime accused in SSR’s death case, must have friends in higher places and that is probably the reason why the Maharashtra Government was trying to avoid a CBI investigation into the late actor’s death. KK Singh, Sushant’s father had himself alleged that the Mumbai Police did not do anything and that’s why he filed an FIR against Rhea for abetment to suicide in Bihar after 40 days of his son’s passing.
