Actor Varun Dhawan is an avid social media user and enjoys a massive fan following out there. The actor, who often uses the medium to interact with his fans, recently took to his Instagram handle to reminisce his childhood days as monsoon arrives in Mumbai. Varun shared a shirtless picture flaunting his toned abs as he enjoys the downpour standing in his balcony. In the caption, Varun recalled getting drenched as a child during this time of the season and playing outdoors. He captioned the photo as, ‘MUMBAI ki baarish. As a kid I would always love to play in the rain so after getting in the work I stepped out to enjoy the rain and it felt amazing.’ Varun also shared video clips showing water being splashed by his car as he drives on the flooded roads in Mumbai and captioned one of the video, ‘This is pretty wild’. Earlier, Varun held a live session wherein he spoke about his personal loss due to the deadly COVID-19 while speaking to a 26-year-old doctor on the violence against medical staff that has shaken many in the country. The actor confessed that at least seven of his family members contracted COVID-19 and he even lost his maasi, who was being treated for coronavirus in Chicago. Varun said, ‘With COVID-19, people have post-recovery side-effects and they suddenly die. It happened with a relative of mine, my maasi, who was at a hospital in Chicago. She was there for a month, she was off the ventilator and then she was back on the ventilator. Suddenly, after 40 days, she passed away. There was no sign.’ He further added, ‘there’s no way to prepare a family for this but you can’t take your grief out on a doctor because ultimately no one is playing God here, everyone is dealing with it together.’ For the unversed, Varun Dhawan is also one of those celebs who got diagnosed with the deadly virus last year in December, while he was shooting for his next film ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’ in Chandigarh.
