Vishal Dadlani says ‘Shah Rukh Khan and family used as smokescreen to distract from Adani Port drug haul’, Bhumi Pednekar reacts to gangrape in moving train case | Hindi Movie News – Bollywood – Times of India

Ever since the arrest of superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan in the infamous cruise drug case, several questions and doubts have also risen up related to this specific raid by the NCB. Music composer Vishal Dadlani is the latest celebrity to stand in solidarity with Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan. Vishal has claimed that this high-profile case is being used to ‘distract’ the citizens of the country from other important issues like the murder of farmers by a politician’s son in Uttar Pradesh and seizure of a massive quantity of drugs from Adani port. Calling Shah Rukh Khan and his family ‘soft target’, taking to his Twitter handle, he tweeted, ‘SRK and his family are being used as a smokescreen, a soft target to distract from the 3000kg Talibani-drug haul at the Adani port, and to distract from the murder of farmers by the son of a BJP member/MLA.’ He was responding to a filmmaker who asked, ‘How many Producers, Directors who have worked with #SRK in the last 30 years are standing in solidarity with him today?’ On the other, actress Bhumi Pednekar who is an avid social media user and often uses the medium to share her views and opinions firmly on several issues prevailing in society, expressed her anger over the gruesome case wherein robbers were accused of gang-raping a woman on board a train from Lucknow to Mumbai. Taking to her Instagram handle, the actress penned a thought-provoking note saying, ‘Shame on us! Violence against women has become an epidemic in our country. We hear of heinous crimes against women on a daily basis. From Rape to dowry-related deaths, from babies to senior citizens. From hate crimes to crimes out of love.’ While urging for stricter laws for crimes against women, she further added, ‘There is an explanation for everything. This will not stop till we have swift punishment and laws so strict that anyone who even thinks of such heinous crime shivers with fear. We need stronger patrolling.’ Not only this, but she also advocated for making women’s rights a part of our education system to create a safer environment for women in the country.
