Watch: Speed merchant Umran Malik knocks over Michael Bracewell with a scorcher | Cricket News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Pace sensation Umran Malik once again came into the limelight as he cleaned up Kiwi batter Michael Bracewell with his sheer pace during the third and final ODI against New Zealand at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Wednesday.
Chasing an imposing 235-run target, New Zealand had a horrible start as they were four down at the score of 7 in 2.4 overs.
The left-handed batter Bracewell came to the crease and he immediately scored a six off skipper Hardik Pandya after facing just one delivery. Arshdeeep Singh gave away 8 runs in the following over.
Pandya brought in Umran in his place as first change to bowl the fifth over of the innings. And he instantly unleashed a 148.6 kph yorker to Bracewell followed by a good length ball around off.

The ever-charged Umran then came up with a fiery back of a length delivery and Bracewell got beaten for pace. The Kiwi batter went for a hoick but totally missed the ball which ended up hitting the top of the middle-stump.
New Zealand lost half their side just into the fifth over at the score of 21. Earlier, Hardik and Arshdeep rattled the NZ top order, sharing two wickets apiece.
New Zealand eventually lost the match by 168 runs and the T20I series 1-2. Hardik returned figures of 4/16 in his quota of 4 overs while Umran finished (2/9 in 2.1 overs) the NZ innings at 66 dismissing Daryl Mitchell (35) – the highest scorer for the visiting side.
