Water level increased in Dhauliganga River after the doors of the Chirkila Dam opened on June 18. According to IMD, ‘heavy to very heavy rainfall likely to occur at isolated places in Chamoli, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh districts of Uttarakhand. Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and intense shower likely to occur at isolated places especially in hills of Uttarakhand.
