The individuals residing in the Tawang area of Arunachal Pradesh showed their confidence in the Indian Army and also expressed support, following the December 09 border clash between India and China. The bordering villagers of Arunachal Pradesh said that they are ready to go to the border to fight against the enemy as frontline soldiers if given the opportunity. The locals claimed that the atmosphere in the bordering town is fine and they haven’t faced any problems following the clash. The government is undertaking various developmental works in the area and they would continue to support the Indian Army in future.
