WhatsApp is rolling new way to verify reported chats, groups and business accounts
Popular instant messaging app WhatsApp has started rolling out a new feature for Android beta users of the app that will help them in better verifying the chats, groups or contacts they want to report to the company, claims a report by WABetaInfo.
As per the report, in the latest Android beta version — 2.20.206.3 — of WhatsApp, the company has rolled out support for forwarding a copy to WhatsApp of the recent messages from that chat.
“WhatsApp never receives your messages without your permissions. If you decide to report a contact, you agree to forward a copy to WhatsApp of the recent messages from that chat,” said WABetaInfo in its report.

WhatsApp is also adding the same report feature for group and business chats, added the report.
The aforementioned feature is available starting today for Android beta testers and it will be following soon for iOS beta testers in the next few weeks, as per the report,
