During an old interview, Irrfan Khan had revealed, “I was doing some training in a technical course in Jaipur and I came to Bombay through this training of air conditioning. Then I started going on the field, to different houses to repair air conditioners.” He also mentioned that he found the job extremely dull. He further stated, “I realised I cannot earn money just for the sake of earning money, it has to be the by-product. I have to be fascinated with what I am doing.”
Irrfan Khan was born on January 7, 1967, in Tonk, Rajasthan. His passion for acting was inspired by his uncle, a theater performer in Jodhpur. Irrfan began acting on stage in Jaipur and later enrolled at the National School of Drama in New Delhi in 1984. From there, his journey in the world of acting began, leading to his eventual success in the film industry.
Besides Bollywood, Irrfan Khan also gained recognition in Hollywood. He appeared in popular Hollywood movies and award-winning films such as Jurassic World, The Amazing Spider-Man, Slumdog Millionaire, and Life of Pi.
Irrfan Khan’s son, actor Babil Khan, is carrying forward his father’s legacy in Bollywood. He has appeared in movies such as Qala and web series like The Railway Men, earning praise for his acting abilities. In a recent interview, Babil Khan talked about how, when he was only 10 years old, he spent a lot of time with his father and was very close to him.
