Government of India appointed Lt General Anil Chauhan (Retd) as the next Chief of Defence Staff of the Indian Armed forces. Lt General Anil Chauhan assumed charge on September 30 and made his first statement. “I’m proud. Will live up to the expectations of the post. We will try to tackle all challenges and difficulties together,” he said. In a career spanning over nearly 40 years, Lt Gen Anil Chauhan held several command, staff, and instrumental appointments.
