Tabbed File Explorer
Tabs in File Explorer is perhaps the most anticipated feature of Windows 11. It allows users to open multiple folders, files, etc in multiple tabs within the File Explorer. Additionally, File Explorer has also received a new Favourite section which allows users to pin files, folders, etc.
Suggested Actions
Another new feature that’s rolling out to Windows users is Suggested Actions. The feature makes it easier for users to interact and collaborate with colleagues. Suggested actions automatically identify important things and highlight them like phone numbers or dates, etc. These data can be used to make calls using the Phone Link app, Skype or to schedule an appointment, make calendar entries, etc.
Taskbar Overflow and easy access to Task Manager
Windows 11 is also getting the new taskbar overflow feature. This allows users to pin more apps on the taskbar than the space allows. Taskbar gives you an entry point to an overflow menu that allows you to view all your overflowed apps in one space.
Apart from that, the Task Manager option is now a part of right-click menu of the taskbar which was present in Windows 10.
Better sharing options
Microsoft is making it easier to share data to more devices from desktops, File Explorer, Photos, Snipping Tool, Xbox and other apps.
In addition to these, the Photos app is also scheduled to get an iCloud photos integration which means users can now sync photos and videos from their iCloud storage directly on their Windows laptop. The feature is expected to arrive in November.
