Xiaomi has increased the prices of these 2 Redmi phones by up to Rs 1500 – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Several smartphone brands have recently increased the prices of their devices. According to industry estimates, smartphone shipments are expected to grow 12% in 2021, however, a lack of components may hurt the industry and drive up prices for consumers. Now, once again smartphone maker Xiaomi has increased the price of its Redmi Note 10 series smartphones. However, it’s not clear what’s behind the increase in the price of these phones. Xiaomi has now increased the price of its Redmi Note 10 and the recently launched Redmi Note 10G smartphones.
Redmi Note 10 gets a price hike of Rs 1,500
Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 10 smartphone in March this year. The smartphone comes in two variants — 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage and 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. Now the company has revised the price of the smartphone for the third time.
At the time of the launch, the base variant of the smartphone was priced at Rs 11,999 and now it is available at Rs 13,499 after the total price hike of Rs 1,500. On the other hand, the 6GB RAM variant which was launched at Rs 13,999 can be purchased at Rs 15,499 after the price hike.

Redmi Note 10 specifications
In terms of specs, the Redmi Note 10 comes with a 6.43-inch full HD+ display and is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 678 processor. The smartphone sports a quad-rear camera setup with a 48MP main sensor, 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, 2MP macro sensor and 2MP depth sensor. On the front, the smartphone has a 13MP selfie shooter.
Redmi Note 10 is backed by a 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. It comes with dual SIM support and runs Android 11 operating system.
Redmi Note 10T 5G price hike of Rs 500
Xiaomi has also increased the price of its first 5G-enabled Redmi 10 series smartphone — the Redmi Note 10T 5G. Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 10T 5G smartphone last month at an introductory price of Rs 13,999 for the 4GB RAM variant and Rs 15,999 for the 6GB RAM variant.
At the time of the launch, the company said that the introductory price will be valid for a limited period only. The company has now hiked the price of the Redmi Note 10T 5G smartphone by Rs 500. Now the price of Redmi Note 10T 5G starts at Rs 14,499.
