Exclusive: Saand Ki Aankh producer denies doing a film with Rhea Chakraborty – Times of India

Last month Rhea Chakraborty grabbed headlines after she posted a picture on social media. The post had the actress posing with Saand Ki Aankh producer, and wife of filmmaker Tushar Hiranandani, Nidhi Parmar Hiranandani. The caption read – #LOVEISPOWER ‘Love is a fabric which never fades, no matter how often it is washed in the water of adversity and grief’- Rober Fulghum (sic).

The picture led to a multiple speculations suggesting a probable film project between Rhea and Nidhi. Post the controversies the actress went through last year, all eyes have been on the actress and her career. Thus, a post like this went on to become a talking point among her social media followers.

When Bombay Times reached out to Nidhi for a confirmation she declined any such development. “Rhea is a very close friend of mine. We have been friends for years and the picture that was shared on Instagram was clicked as we hung out as friends together. There’s nothing more behind it. There’s no project in the pipeline,” she cleared.

Rhea and Nidhi’s friendship goes back to 2017. Nidhi recollects how the two got along saying, “Back then I used to work with director Mohit Suri. So, I met Rhea on the sets of Half Girlfriend in South Africa. We got along really well and became too close too soon. She has been like a little sister to me since then.”

With a strong bond developed over the years, Nidhi says that the two stand by each other. “Yes, I will always stand by her through thick and thin, because she has stood by me through my thick and thin. I know she is having a tough time, but she will bounce back as she has the support of very good friends and family,” she signs off.
