Has Akshay Kumar’s ‘Bell Bottom’ release been postponed because of ‘Sooryavanshi’? – Times of India

Those waiting eagerly for Akshay Kumar’s movie ‘Bell Bottom’, may just have to wait a tad longer as it seems that its release has been delayed.

According to the latest reports, the actor’ spy-thriller, that was slated for a release in April 2021, will now be pushed to June 2021. This is rumoured to be because Akshay’s cop-actioner with director Rohit Shetty, ‘Sooryavanshi’ is eyeing a March or April theatrical release this year. The film was originally set to hit screens in 2020 but postponed its release owing to the temporary shutdown of theatres because of the lockdown.

The makers of ‘Bell Bottom’ have reportedly decided to avoid a back-to-back release, keeping in mind the current uncertain situation.

Akshay and the ‘Bell Bottom’ team made headlines last October when they became the first Bollywood crew to get the cameras rolling again after the extended lockdown. The team jetted out to Scotland for an extensive month-long shoot. Akki, Vaani Kapoor, Huma Qureshi, Lara Dutta and the team even pulled off double shifts to get the film ready in time and avoid any further delays.
