For this year’s Met Gala theme, The Garden of Time, Isha collaborated with Indian designer Rahul Mishra to craft a bespoke hand-embroidered couture sari gown.The creation, which took over 10,000 hours to complete.
The gown’s meticulous hand-embroidery was carried out across Rahul Mishra’s ateliers in Indian villages. Complementing this masterpiece is a clutch crafted by Swadesh, featuring an Indian Miniature Painting by Jaipur artisan Hari Narain Marotia, showcasing India’s rich artistic heritage.
Isha’s jewellery for the evening includes traditional lotus hand bracelets (Haathpochas), parrot earrings, and a flower choker designed by renowned jeweller Viren Bhagat.
This marks Isha’s fourth Met Gala attendance, following her debut in a Christian Dior gown in 2017 and her choice of Prabal Gurung’s creation in 2023. In 2019, Isha adorned a captivating lilac outfit by Prabal Gurung.
