Kiara Advani feels Kabir Singh’s slap scene was blown out of proportion; says for her, it’s a love story – Times of India ►

Kiara Advani, who played the role of Preeti in ‘Kabir Singh’, recently revealed that she felt that the slap scene in the film was blown out of proportion.

In an interview with a news portal, Kiara defended her role and the film. The actress stated that for her, it’s a love story, and the thing about love is that it’s the only thing that will allow you to forgive certain behaviours in life. According to her, relationships are very complex and it’s very easy for a third person, to say ‘get out of that relationship’ if someone has cheated on someone, someone has not been respectful of the other person, or someone has slapped someone. But for the two people in that relationship, it is another complication altogether.

Elaborating further, Kiara added that after that slap in the interval scene, which was blown out of proportion, her character leaves the man (Kabir). However, people didn’t see that. According to her, the fact that she comes back at the end when he comes back to her, is when a section wants that she shouldn’t have taken him back. When you take a scene out of the film and blow it out of proportion, then you just talk about the scene, you have not seen the film in totality, Kiara told Bollywood Hungama.

‘Kabir Singh’ is an official Hindi remake of Telugu film, ‘Arjun Reddy’ which starred Vijay Deverakonda in the lead role. The Hindi adaptation starred Shahid Kapoor in the titular role.
