New online module launched to streamline transfer in Railways | India News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: In a move that will benefit lakhs of railway employees, the Railway Board has launched the online “Transfer Module of HRMS”, which will streamline the applications for transfer and bring transparency. The mode, which came to effect from Monday (August 15), will ensure that the employees don’t have to approach anyone or pursue inter-railway and inter-zonal transfers.
Now the railway employees need to simply log-in to the online platform and upload their application for request. Since this can be seen by all, there will be 100% transparency and no preferential treatment for anyone, officials said.
In an order issued on August 11, the Railway Board said, “On successful completion of the development of the Transfer Module of HRMS by CRIS and completion of entry of legacy data, it has been decided by Railway Board that the Transfer Module of HRMS shall be launched across Indian Railways on August 15, 2022. With this, all the new as well as existing transfer requests (inter-railway and inter-division) shall henceforth be received and processed only through HRMS.”
It also has directed all the field units to give publicity to the change in process of the transfer applications and also ensure functioning of the helpdesk to ensure that employees are not inconvenienced in submitting the applications through HRMS during the initial period.
