Sushant Singh Rajput case: Rhea Chakraborty’s lawyer Shyam Divan says Patna FIR not connected with the incident, Bihar cops should’ve transferred case – Times of India

After an FIR was filed by Sushant Singh Rajput’s father KK Singh against Rhea Chakraborty in Patna, Bihar, the actress had urged the Supreme Court to transfer the case to Mumbai. Shyam Divan, who is representing the actress, reportedly told the court that the FIR filed was not connected to the case.
According to a report in Times Now, Shyam Divan reportedly said that the FIR filed in Patna by Sushant;s father KK Singh was not connected to the incident. He also added that Bihar cops should have transferred the case to Mumbai police.

The hearing is going on right now and it had actually scheduled to begin earlier. However, due to some technical glitch, the hearing was delayed.

KK Singh had also filed a counter-affidavit before Supreme Court stating the investigation in the FIR has already been transferred to CBI and thus Rhea Chakraborty’s plea seeking transfer of probe to Mumbai stands infructuous.

According to Times Now, in his response to the petition filed by Rhea, Sushant’s father alleges that prime suspect Rhea has influenced key witness Siddharth Pithani. He also questioned how the mail sent to Mumbai Police by Siddharth Pithani where he complained against Bihar Police got into Rhea’s hands. It has also been alleged that the mail sent by Siddharth Pithani was after Bihar Police had filed FIR against Rhea Chakraborty and on the eve of the actress moving Supreme Court with her petition.
