Uttarakhand chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announces compensation for families affected by incessant rains in the state. Widespread destruction was reported across Uttarakhand after torrential rains lashed the state. At least 34 people died and five are missing in rain-related incidents. Uttarakhand Govt announces Rs 4 lakh ex gratia to the kin of the deceased persons. CM Pushkar Singh Dhami also announced compensation for damaged houses. A compensation of Rs 1.09 lakh and Rs 95,000 will be given for damaged houses while Rs 5000 will be offered to families in whose house water has entered. Compensation for loss of cattle will also be given, says CM Dhami.
