Vijay Deverakonda says ‘I have no fear’ as he reacts strongly to the ‘boycott Liger movie’ twitter trend – Times of India

Puri Jagannadh’s upcoming film, ‘Liger’ became the latest target of the boycott trend on Twitter after Aamir Khan starrer ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’. Most people are boycotting the film because of the involvement of Karan Johar in the film.

During a press event in Vijayawada, its lead star Vijay Deverakonda reacted to the same by stating that they started the film in 2019 when there was no such trend and by 2020, they were already into the shooting schedules. According to the actor, at that time, they felt like there was no one better than Karan Johar to take their movie India-wide. He took Baahubali and showed us a way into North India which was unknown territory for them. Script and production were theirs. When they requested the Bollywood director to release the movie in Hindi, he warmly took it and now they got humongous reach in the North, Vijay was quoted as saying by the Indian Express.

Elaborating further, the south superstar added that he has no fear because they have put their heart and soul to make the film. Vijay feels that when you are right, there is no need to listen to anybody. According to him, they all are from this country and they know how much they do for their people and country. Vijay also added that they are not from that batch who sit in front of computers and tweet.

‘Liger’ is a pan-India film which stars Vijay and Ananya Panday in lead roles. It also features Ramya Krishnan, Ronit Roy, Makarand Deshpande and others in key roles. The movie also boasts of a special cameo by none other than the boxing legend Mike Tyson. It is slated to hit the theatres on August 25, 2022.
