FAKE ALERT: This is Akshardham Temple, not Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir – Times of India

Photo of a temple is doing the rounds on social media with a claim that Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir when constructed will look like this.
A Facebook page posted the image with this claim.

Archived version of this post can be viewed here.
The photo being shared is of Swaminarayan Akshardham temple and not Ram Mandir.
Using reverse-image search, we found a photo gallery post from news website News 18, which carried the exact same image with a caption that identified the temple as Akshardham temple in Delhi.

Photos of the proposed model of Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir were posted by the Official Account of Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra, a trust constituted to look after construction and management of Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Mandir in Ayodhya.

Here’s a comparison between the two

Times Fact Check has found that photo of Akshardham Temple is being falsely shared as proposed model of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
