Sushant Singh Rajput Case: SC denies Rhea Chakraborty’s request for interim protection, Bihar Police can question her now – Times of India

With the suicide case of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput getting complicated with each day, the central government has accepted the request of Bihar government recommending a probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in the case.

Meanwhile, according to Times Now’s latest report, Rhea Chakraborty’s lawyer had requested a protective order which has been refused by the Supreme Court. So with no interim protection for from questioning, the Bihar Police can ask their questions to Rhea in connection to the case.

Sushant’s father has filed an FIR against Rhea charging her with abetment to suicide, theft, wrongful confinement and cheating as well. According to latest reports, the Centre’s decision of accepting the Bihar government’s recommendation for a CBI inquiry has come on the day the apex court is hearing Rhea’s petition seeking for a transfer of the investigation from Patna to Mumbai.

Sushant committed suicide in his Mumbai apartment on June 14 and since then the Mumbai police has been probing the case. Reports also suggess that the statements of 56 people have been recorded till now in connection with the case which includes the late actor’s family, domestic help and several popular personalities from the industry.
